Political Polling & Campaigns

Carrier infrastructure for political operations.

High-volume outbound voice and messaging for polling, GOTV, voter contact, and campaign calling. Unlimited channels for election-cycle spikes. A-level attestation to reach voters. No political surcharge.

Election-Cycle Scalability

Unlimited channels, no minimum commitment. Scale to millions of minutes in October and zero in December. Pay only for what you use. No off-season carrying costs.

A-Level STIR/SHAKEN

Political calls face aggressive spam filtering due to high volume and unfamiliar CIDs. A-level attestation from our own SP-KI certificate gives your calls the best chance of reaching voters.

Local Presence Nationwide

DIDs in every US area code. Display a local number matching each voter's area code. 15 to 30 percent answer rate improvement over toll-free or non-local CID.

IVR Polling Support

SIP trunks with RFC 2833 DTMF for IVR-based surveys. Connect voters to automated polls, capture responses, and track results through your VICIdial or Asterisk IVR.

Political SMS/MMS

Text banking and voter contact messaging with A2P 10DLC registration for political campaign categories. Opt-in/opt-out compliance built into the infrastructure.

Wholesale Rates, No Surcharge

Same published per-minute rates as all SIPNEX customers. No political calling premium. No special contract. No minimum term.

Frequently asked questions.

Does SIPNEX support political calling and polling?
Yes. SIPNEX provides SIP trunking, DIDs, and messaging for political campaigns, polling operations, GOTV (Get Out The Vote) programs, and voter contact operations. We support high-volume outbound dialing at the carrier level — unlimited channels, A-level attestation, and wholesale rates built for campaign-cycle burst volume.
Are political calls exempt from TCPA?
Political calls have limited TCPA exemptions. Calls promoting a political candidate or message (not selling a product) are exempt from the National Do Not Call Registry. However, calls using an autodialer or prerecorded voice to cell phones still require prior express consent under TCPA. Robocalls (prerecorded messages) to cell phones require prior express consent regardless of political content. State laws add additional restrictions. This is not legal advice — consult a campaign compliance attorney.
Can I handle polling volume spikes?
Yes. Political operations are inherently spiky — quiet months followed by massive volume in the weeks before an election. SIPNEX's unlimited concurrent channels and no-contract model handle this perfectly. You pay per minute during heavy periods and nothing during quiet periods. No minimum commitment. No channel provisioning delays.
Do you provide local presence for political calling?
Yes. We provision DIDs in every US area code for local presence dialing. For a national polling operation or GOTV campaign, you can display a local number matching each voter's area code. Local presence typically improves answer rates by 15 to 30 percent compared to toll-free or non-local caller ID.
How does STIR/SHAKEN help political calling?
Political calls are subject to the same carrier spam filtering as any other outbound call. A-level STIR/SHAKEN attestation from SIPNEX signals to terminating carriers that a licensed carrier verified your caller ID — reducing the likelihood of spam labels that suppress answer rates. This is especially important for political calling because high volume + unfamiliar caller ID triggers spam detection aggressively.
Do you support political SMS and text banking?
Yes. SIPNEX provides SMS and MMS messaging with A2P 10DLC registration. Political messaging campaigns have specific TCR registration categories. We handle the registration process. Note that political messaging is subject to carrier content policies and TCPA consent requirements — opt-in and opt-out compliance is essential.
What about IVR polling (press 1 for candidate A)?
SIPNEX SIP trunks support IVR-based polling through your PBX or VICIdial IVR configuration. Outbound calls connect to an automated survey, respondents press keys (DTMF via RFC 2833), and your system records the responses. We handle the trunk and call delivery. You handle the IVR logic and survey design.
What does political calling cost on SIPNEX?
Same wholesale rates as any other outbound calling — $0.005 to $0.030 per minute depending on volume. No political calling surcharge. No per-channel fee. DIDs at $1 to $3 per month for local presence. A polling operation running 500,000 minutes in the month before an election pays the same per-minute rate as a year-round call center.
